Duties
- Deliver prepared lessons and instructional activities aligned with curriculum guidelines across different subjects and grade levels.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a safe, respectful, and productive learning environment.
- Implement curriculum plans and adapt instructional strategies to meet the needs of diverse learners, including those with special education needs or autism.
- Maintain accurate attendance records, student progress reports, and documentation in compliance with school policies.
- Communicate regularly with students, staff, and parents to support student success and address behavioral or academic concerns.
- Utilize educational technologies and computers to enhance lesson delivery and student engagement.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and support staff to ensure continuity of instruction and classroom management strategies.
Requirements
- Valid state-issued teaching license or substitute teaching certification.
- Proven experience working with children in classroom or childcare settings.
- Knowledge of childhood development, literacy education, math instruction, and early childhood education best practices.
- Familiarity with curriculum development, lesson planning, behavior management techniques, and classroom management strategies.
- Ability to adapt instruction for students from diverse cultural backgrounds and those with special needs or autism spectrum disorder.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, teachers, and school staff.
- Experience using educational technologies and computers for instructional purposes.
- Understanding of mandated reporting laws, school policies, and confidentiality standards related to student information.
- Previous experience in private or Montessori schools is a plus; early childhood or preschool experience is highly valued.
