Position Summary
The Irrigation Technician is responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing irrigation systems to ensure efficient water usage and healthy landscapes. This hands-on role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality service. The ideal candidate will have experience troubleshooting irrigation issues, programming controllers, and ensuring systems are optimized for both performance and water conservation.
Key Responsibilities

Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair irrigation systems, including valves, controllers, pumps, and lines.

Adjust and program irrigation timers to match plant and weather conditions for water efficiency.

Detect and repair leaks, broken sprinkler heads, and electrical faults.

Maintain accurate records of repairs, inspections, and water usage.

Recommend system upgrades or adjustments to improve performance and sustainability.

Collaborate with landscape crews and property managers to coordinate repairs and site schedules.

Ensure compliance with local water restrictions and environmental regulations.

Operate company vehicles and maintain equipment in safe working condition.

Required:

Experience in irrigation installation, maintenance, or repair.

Knowledge of irrigation systems (Toro, Rain Bird, Hunter, etc.).

Ability to read irrigation plans and schematics.

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Must be 18 years or older.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
Preferred:

Experience in commercial property maintenance or landscaping.

Basic electrical and plumbing skills.
