Overview
We are seeking energetic and dedicated Home Health Aides & Caregivers to join our team. In this vital role, you will provide personalized care that promotes well-being, safety, and comfort for our clients. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals who need support with daily activities and medical needs, all while working in a supportive and respectful environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Monitor patient health by observing vital signs and reporting changes promptly
- Administer medications and perform basic medical procedures such as catheter care and hospice support under supervision
- Utilize Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems to document care activities accurately and securely in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Support clients with memory care needs, Alzheimer’s, dementia, and developmental disabilities through compassionate engagement
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding, ensuring dietary restrictions are followed
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by assisting with light housekeeping tasks like laundry and cleaning
Qualifications
- Prior experience in home health, assisted living, nursing homes or long-term care settings preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures such as vital signs measurement, medication administration, Hoyer lift operation, and catheter care
- Certification in CPR is required; additional certifications like hospice care or working with individuals with disabilities are a plus
- Demonstrated ability to observe patient conditions carefully and communicate effectively with healthcare teams
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or dementia is highly valued
- Strong organizational skills for medical documentation and working with EMR/EHR systems
- Compassionate attitude combined with reliability, patience, and excellent communication skills
