ERM is hiring a Land Agent in Wharton County, Texas. The Land Agent will be responsible for the acquisition of land, land rights, licenses, leases, permits and other documents necessary for the construction, operation, and maintenance of renewable energy sites. This is a full-time (40hrs/week), limited-term remote and field-based role with 50% travel to and from identified sites throughout the county as required for a duration of 12 months, renewable.
Physical demands required for the successful performance of this job include standing and/or walking for long hours in a day on uneven and steep terrain, and possibly during variable weather conditions.
Draft and/or supervise the preparation of documents for rights of entry, damage claims, contracts, easements, licenses, leases, permits, options to purchase and other documents as may be necessary to acquire adequate rights for the project.
3+ years of experience in land acquisition, oil and gas leasing, real estate negotiations, Renewable energy experience (solar) preferred but not required.
Solid working knowledge of personal computers, Microsoft Office Suite, Google Earth, ArcGIS, and data management software.
Excellent computer skills and familiarity of Microsoft Office Suites (ie. Word, Excel, Sharepoint, Outlook).
