Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Primary Grade Instructor to inspire and nurture young learners in their foundational educational journey. Duties
- Design and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards for early elementary grades, focusing on literacy, math, science, social studies, and physical education.
- Monitor student progress through formative and summative assessments, analyzing performance data to tailor instruction and support each child's unique learning journey.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively using positive reinforcement strategies to create a safe, respectful, and productive learning environment.
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, instructional strategies, and school-wide initiatives to ensure cohesive educational delivery.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians through conferences and written updates to discuss student achievements, challenges, and developmental goals.
- Incorporate educational technology tools and learning platforms to enhance instruction and student engagement.
- Provide targeted support for students with special needs or those requiring early intervention services, including working with specialists when necessary.
Skills
- Proven experience teaching young children in elementary or primary grades with a strong understanding of childhood development principles.
- Excellent classroom management skills combined with behavior management techniques to foster a positive learning atmosphere.
- Strong curriculum development abilities with experience implementing standards-based lessons across multiple subjects.
- Proficiency in integrating educational technology and learning tools into daily instruction to support diverse learning styles.
- Ability to analyze student performance data and adapt teaching methods accordingly for differentiated instruction.
- Effective communication skills for engaging with students, parents, colleagues, and community partners.
- Knowledge of special education practices, including working with students with autism or other developmental needs.
- Experience in literacy education, math instruction, standardized testing preparation, and early childhood education best practices.
- Mentoring skills to support new teachers or classroom aides in their professional growth.
