Pay Range: $20.00 – $26.00 / hour (Based on experience)
About the Role
We are looking for a detailed-oriented Smart Home Technician to join our custom integration team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, configuring, and troubleshooting high-end residential and commercial automation, lighting control, and AV systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, wire, and configure smart home automation systems and low-voltage audio/video equipment.
- Program, test, and troubleshoot systems from major control platforms.
- Rough-in and trim-out low-voltage wiring, network racks, wall plates, and motorized shades/fixtures.
- Read and interpret architectural blueprints, floor plans, and system schematics.
- Walk clients through basic system operation and provide excellent customer service on-site.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: Hands-on experience with at least one major automation platform (Control4, Crestron, Lutron, or Savant).
- Solid understanding of basic networking (routers, switches, VLANs, Wi-Fi access points).
- Comfortable running cable, mounting TVs, dressing equipment racks, and using hand/power tools safely.
- Valid Driver’s License and a clean driving record to travel to job sites.
- Vendor certifications (e.g., Control4 Associate/PCNA, Lutron RadioRA 3/HomeWorks, CEDIA) are a major plus!
