Qualifications & Skills:
Education/Training: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Experience:
· Previous experience in food service, commercial kitchens, or meal preparation (preferred)
· Understanding basic food safety, sanitation, and kitchen operations
· Strong communication and time management skills
Key Responsibilities: As an on-call cook, you will play a vital role in assisting in the preparation, packing and service of food needed for the Meals on Wheels program, Center meals, Seasons Adult Day Program and/or Catering needs. At all times comply with the following:
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, cook, and serve meals in accordance with food safety and dietary guidelines
- Follow standardized recipes and portion control guidelines
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness and sanitation standards
- Collaborate with team members and follow kitchen manager instructions
- Travel to various dining center locations in Midland County as needed
- Representing Senior Services with professionalism and compassion
- This is a on-call as needed position which could include scheduled shifts
