Job Description:
The successful candidate will work independently and with other plant personnel to perform preventative, predictive, and routine maintenance tasks. Trouble shoot issues, repair failures of production and facilities equipment, and ensure maximum equipment efficiency and effectiveness. Selected candidates will also be involved with equipment installation and facility maintenance. All tasks will be performed while supporting the policies, goals, and objectives of the company.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
1. Provide support to the manufacturing processes by repairing and servicing industrial equipment including electrical components, motors, pumps, hydraulic systems, compressors, conveyors and gear boxes.
2. Complete preventative maintenance tasks to ensure proper functioning of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
3. Ability to read, interpret and analyze electrical/mechanical schematics, block diagrams, and flow charts.
4. Possess basic knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics.
5. Possess electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting skills.
6. Must be computer literate and understand PLC principles
7. Industrial welding experience a plus
8. Have a working knowledge and understanding of HAZMAT, SDS, EPA, and OSHA requirements
9. Good time management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects
10. Must have good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with production staff
11. Ability to read, write and understand sufficient English to read machinery controls, load types, temperature, time, etc.
12. Must be multi-talented, extremely flexible in work assignments
13. Willingness to integrate into a closely knit team
14. Self Motivated
15. Performs other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each primary duty and responsibility satisfactorily. 1. High school diploma or GED
2. Five (5) years maintenance experience in manufacturing environment
3. Must understand PLC principles
4. Ability to read, interpret and analyze electrical/mechanical schematics, block diagrams, and flow charts
5. Basic knowledge and troubleshooting skills of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
6. Ability to identify and diagnose problems and implement corrective action
7. Ability to effectively use Microsoft Office applications and other computer programs
8. Good applied interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
9. Ability to read and comprehend basic English and perform basic math functions including reading a tape measure
10. Ability to be self-motivated
11. Ability to work from heights (Ladders, Aerial Lifts, Roofs, etc)
12. Willing and able to perform tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing and/or pulling for at least ten (10) hours a day
13. Willing and able to work in high and/or confined spaces
14. Willing and able to work in a hot, humid, cold, and noisy industrial environment
15. Willing and able to work all shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed
