Overview
As a Medical Transport Driver, you will play a vital role in ensuring safe and reliable transportation for patients. Your mission will be to provide exceptional service while navigating various routes, ensuring timely arrivals and departures. With your driving expertise and commitment to customer care, you’ll make a significant impact on the lives of those you transport.
What you’ll do
- Safely operate vehicles to transport patients to and from medical appointments, ensuring comfort and security throughout the journey.
- Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking, providing support as needed for individuals with mobility challenges.
- Maintain a clean and well-functioning vehicle by performing regular inspections and necessary maintenance tasks.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare staff to coordinate schedules and address any concerns.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while driving in various conditions, demonstrating professionalism at all times.
- Utilize a smartphone for communication, manage trips assignments, and navigate to destinations
- Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless operations and optimal patient care.
Available Shifts:
Basic qualifications
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience in shuttle driving or as a delivery driver, showcasing your ability to navigate diverse routes efficiently.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience in commercial driving or paratransit services is highly desirable.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations.
- Familiarity with heavy lifting techniques for assisting patients as needed.
