About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Electrician to ensure the reliability and safety of our electrical systems. In this role, you will diagnose and repair electrical issues, install new equipment, and maintain existing systems. Your expertise in electrical theory and hands-on skills will be crucial in keeping our operations running smoothly.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning electrical systems and components, utilizing diagnostic tools and equipment to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
- Conduct regular inspections of electrical systems, equipment, and components to proactively identify potential hazards, defects, and areas requiring adjustments or repairs, ensuring adherence to safety standards and regulatory codes.
- Execute the repair or replacement of faulty wiring and equipment, employing hand tools and power tools to restore systems to optimal functionality and minimize downtime.
- Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, and fixtures, utilizing hand tools and power tools to ensure proper installation and adherence to specifications.
- Perform thorough testing of electrical systems and circuit continuity, employing testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes to verify system compatibility and safety, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities, documenting findings, actions taken, and materials used to facilitate effective tracking and future reference.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in troubleshooting high-voltage systems up to 480 Volt 3-phase and 500 volts D-C.
- Expertise in troubleshooting low-voltage control circuits.
- Familiarity with test equipment operation, including digital multi-meters and amp meters.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and electrical symbols, including the ability to understand specifications and technical drawings.
- Strong understanding of electrical theory, including basic Ohm's Law application.
- Basic mechanical skills with pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
- Experience with AC/DC Drives and PLCs in a manufacturing facility.
