Our DoD/Aerospace client is looking to fill a Mechanical Engineer position within their high-technology defense systems team. This role will lead a cross functional team responsible for Designing, Testing, Implementing, Building, and Installing equipment on Surface Ships. The position is based in Pittsfield, MA and is fully on-site or hybrid/flex as deemed necessary for the position and role.

Position: Mechanical Engineer
Contract Length: 12–24 months with possibility of going direct
Pay: $49.36 per hour
Education/Experience: Bachelor's Degree plus a minimum of 2 years of related experience
Schedule: First Shift
Clearance Requirement: Secret Clearance is preferred (U.S. citizenship required) and Department of Defense Secret security clearance is obtainable within a reasonable amount of time after hire.
As a mechanical engineer on the Surface Ships program, you’ll lead a cross functional team responsible for Designing, Testing, Implementing, Building, and Installing equipment on Surface Ships.

- Electromechanical equipment design, Electronics Packaging design, Production Support, Installation Support, Environmental Testing, Modeling & Analysis, and/or Drawing development.
What you bring to the table:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field, plus a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 6 months of relevant experience.
