PRIMARY PURPOSE:
The Global Controller is responsible for leading the organization's global accounting and financial reporting functions. This executive role ensures the integrity of financial statements, compliance with international accounting standards and regulatory requirements, and the implementation of strong internal controls across all global operations. The Global Controller partners closely with finance leadership, business units, external auditors, tax, treasury, and operational teams to support strategic business growth while maintaining financial excellence.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Financial Reporting & Accounting

Lead global accounting operations across all legal entities.
- Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.
- Prepare consolidated financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards (US GAAP and/or IFRS).
- Oversee statutory reporting requirements in multiple countries.
- Maintain accounting policies and ensure consistent application worldwide.
Global Compliance & Controls

Develop and maintain a robust internal control environment.
- Ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX), where applicable.
- Manage external and internal audits.
- Monitor compliance with ISO, local regulatory and financial reporting requirements.
- Identify and mitigate financial and operational risks.
Leadership

Lead and develop global accounting teams across multiple regions.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Mentor finance leaders and support succession planning.
- Build high-performing teams through coaching and professional development.
Financial Operations

Oversee general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, payroll accounting, and intercompany accounting.
- Ensure accurate consolidation of international subsidiaries.
- Improve close efficiency through automation and process optimization.
- Support ERP implementations and finance transformation initiatives.
Business Partnership

Serve as a strategic advisor to the CFO and executive leadership.
- Partner with FP&A, Tax, Treasury, Legal, HR, and Operations.
- Support mergers, acquisitions, integrations, and restructuring activities.
- Provide financial insights that support business decisions and growth initiatives.
Systems & Process Improvement

Drive continuous improvement in accounting processes and financial systems.
- Leverage technology to improve reporting accuracy and operational efficiency.
- Ensure strong governance over financial data and reporting systems.
Education
-
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
- CPA or equivalent professional certification required. .
Experience
-
15+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience.
- 8+ years in senior accounting leadership roles.
- Experience leading global accounting organizations in multinational companies.
- Strong experience with financial consolidations involving multiple international entities.
- Public accounting experience (Big Four preferred).
