Security Officer (Armed & Unarmed) – 1099 Independent Contractor

Job Summary
SODOG INC is a growing private security company seeking professional, dependable, and motivated Security Officers (both armed and unarmed) to join our team as 1099 independent contractors.
We’re looking for like-minded individuals who want to grow with us and take pride in building a strong, respected security company. Those who demonstrate reliability, professionalism, and initiative will be given first opportunities for full time slots and long-term site assignments as we expand.
Compensation & Schedule
- Unarmed Pay: $18.00 – $20.00 per hour (depending on site)
- Armed Pay: $25.00 per hour (depending on site and experience)
- Type: 1099 Independent Contractor
- Schedule: Flexible — You choose your own shifts and days.
- Minimum Requirement: At least 8 hours must be completed monthly.
- Availability: Ideal for individuals willing to pick up shifts on off-days or accept short-notice assignments to reach 40+ hours per week.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a professional and visible security presence at assigned locations.
- Monitor premises, access points, and surroundings to prevent unauthorized activity.
- Conduct patrols and inspections as directed by site requirements.
- Document and report all incidents promptly and accurately.
- Provide courteous, customer-service-focused assistance to clients, guests, and staff.
- Respond quickly and calmly to emergencies, disturbances, or safety hazards.
- Work closely with management to support company growth and client satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Must be 21 years or older.
- Prior security, law enforcement, military, or customer service experience preferred.
- Excellent communication and situational awareness skills.
- Must have reliable transportation and a clean background.
- Professional appearance and demeanor required.
- Must hold or be eligible to obtain state-required licenses or certifications (if applicable).
