- Ability to research (when needed) and interpret paper and digital schematics, and repair manuals is critical to your success.
- Must be eager to learn, self-motivated and able to complete tasks (following training) with minimal oversight. You will need to know how to take notes that you can later rely on to be self-sufficient.
- Common sense is a must! Safety is a priority!
- Customer service and communication skills are required. Must be comfortable explaining needed repairs and pricing to customers over the phone, via email and in person.
- Upon hiring, training will be paid on an hourly basis. Instrument repairs are then paid on a commission basis.
- Full-time employees are offered medical, dental and vision insurance, 401K retirement plan and paid time off.
- Following training, "in-shop" Repair Technician will present to the shop daily, answer phone calls and assist "walk-in" customers to take in instruments for repair jobs, efficiently complete in-shop repair jobs, maintain inventory and use Quickbooks for invoicing. Service is offered during normal business hours Monday- Friday, 8-5pm. Full-time is preferred but Part-time may be considered.
- Following training, "traveling" Repair Technicians will present to the shop daily, organize their assigned repair jobs using Google Maps and plan service routes independently, maintain inventory and use Quickbooks for invoicing. Service is offered during normal business hours Monday- Friday, 8-5pm. Ability to work extra is optional. Must have a reliable vehicle, capable of carrying needed parts. Typical daily travel can include driving throughout Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana. Travel distance is paid via commission in addition to repair charges.
