Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dynamic General Education Teacher to inspire and guide students in collaboration with an Intervention Specialist and Therapsts. In this role, you will develop engaging curricula, deliver effective lessons, and foster a positive classroom atmosphere that promotes academic growth and social-emotional development. Prefer experience working with children with disabilities, including autism spectrum disorder (ASD), developmental delays, etc. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on young minds while utilizing innovative teaching methods and learning technologies.
Duties
● Prepares lesson plans, which cover 2 weeks at a time, and materials for lesson plans
● Set up classroom environment
● Implements curriculum based on school curriculum policies and procedures
● Implements programming developed by Therapists
● Enforce school and class rules to help teach students proper behavior
● Will complete recordkeeping, such as tracking attendance and calculating grades
● Collects data and documents on appropriate forms daily
● Prepare for state testing by setting up computers and testing materials
● Ensure aides assigned to the classroom are following schedules and children are being changed as needed
● Manages daily communication with parents
● Attend and contribute to parent-teacher conferences, which will be led by IS and Therapists
● Implementation of PBIS
● Other Duties as assigned by the supervisor
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field.
- Proven classroom experience working with children of various ages.
- Strong knowledge of curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management techniques.
- Familiarity with LMS platforms, learning technology tools, and digital resources for modern teaching environments.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with students, parents, colleagues, and administrators.
- Experience working with individuals with autism or other special needs is highly desirable.
- Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse learner needs while maintaining high standards of educational quality.
- Demonstrated commitment to childhood development principles, behavior management strategies, and inclusive education practices. Pay: $26.55 - $33.00 per hour
