About the Role
We are looking for a skilled Backend Python Developer to design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Python, hands-on experience building production-grade REST APIs, and a solid understanding of microservices architecture and relational databases.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Python.
- Build and maintain production-ready REST APIs using FastAPI, Django, or Flask.
- Develop, optimize, and manage relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server.
- Design and implement microservices-based architectures for scalable applications.
- Collaborate with frontend developers, QA engineers, and product teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following best practices.
- Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and optimize application performance.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of development processes.
- Work with Git-based version control and CI/CD pipelines for deployments.
Required Skills
- 4+ years of hands-on experience in Python backend development.
- Strong expertise in FastAPI, Django, or Flask.
- Experience developing and consuming REST APIs.
- Strong knowledge of relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server).
- Experience with microservices architecture.
- Good understanding of API security, authentication (JWT/OAuth), and best practices.
- Familiarity with Git and Agile development methodologies.
- Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Exposure AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Knowledge of asynchronous programming in Python.
- Experience with Redis, RabbitMQ, or Kafka.
- Familiarity with automated testing frameworks such as PyTest.
Nice to Have
- Experience supporting production applications.
- Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog, etc.).
- Experience working in cloud-native environments.
Pay: $35.00 - $50.00 per hour
