Job Overview
Our client is a custom plastic extrusion manufacturer based in Elkhart, Indiana. They take plastic and shape it into exactly what a customer needs, whether that's a simple profile or something more complex. For someone interested in manufacturing, tooling, or engineering, our client offers hands-on exposure to the full extrusion process, from tool design to finished parts, in a company small enough that individual contributions are visible and valued.
They are seeking an experienced and reliable Packer to support manufacturing operations.
Responsibilities
- Build boxes or make reels
- Pack boxes or load and unload reels
- Number each label
- Correct label placement on boxes and reels
- Put boxes or reels on skids correctly
- Check the material box to ensure the wand is covered with material
- Notify the operator when the material box is getting empty
- Keep the work area clean – sweep and disinfect
- Grind scrap (specific training required)
- Assist operators as needed
Qualifications
- No prior experience necessary but must be willing to undergo training
- Attention to detail for labeling and packing
- Ability to work efficiently and maintain a clean work environment
Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
