Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Manager with Quickbooks Online experience. Candidates must live on Kauai. The position offers flexible Monday through Friday workweek located on-site on Kauai in Lihue. This is not a remote position, and relocation assistance is not offered.

In this pivotal role, you will oversee a broad spectrum of accounting functions, bank reconciliations, grant expenditures, donations, financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and internal controls. The accuracy, integrity, and compliance of our financial operations depend on this detail oriented professional. Your expertise will help drive strategic financial initiatives, support organizational growth, and uphold the highest standards of accounting excellence.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
· Reviews and processes all accounts payable invoices and expense reports, non-donation cash receipts, accounts receivable invoices and payments, ensuring that coding is correctly recorded to funding sources, programs and functions.
· Reconciles monthly bank statements for review by the Executive Director. Maintains various Balance Sheet accounts ensuring that they are in balance and correctly presented on financial statements.
· Determines payroll requirements; maintains payroll data; prepares and processes bi-weekly payrolls. Allocates payroll to appropriate funding sources and programs in accordance with employee timesheets.
· Prepares monthly financial statements by funding source and consolidated for review by the Executive Director. Prepares monthly financial reports for the Board of Directors.
· Prepares grant financial reports as required by each funding source including invoicing for cost reimbursable grants. Ensures that financial reports are accurate and reflect expenditures as recorded in the accounting system.
· Ensures that GAAP accounting methods meet or exceed acceptable standards by ensuring accuracy and maintaining proprietary nature of the business, as expected for a non-profit organization.
· Prepares and participates as requested preparing for the annual audit by outside CPA. Prepares tax reports for State and Local agencies as needed.
· Prepares annual budget for review by the Executive Director and approval by the Board of Directors. Prepares financial budgets for grant proposals as needed. Prepares projections for long range planning purposes with guidance by the Executive Director.
· Works closely with Development, Program and Warehousing staff to ensure proper financial information and recording of all transactions.
· Supervises Warehouse Data Entry personnel to ensure accuracy.
· Collaborates in Special Events and Food Drive activities.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
