A family is seeking a reliable and compassionate 1:1 Behavior Technician to work with two young adults with autism. Candidates should have at least one year of experience in an applied behavior analysis (ABA) setting, strong communication skills, and comfort working with individuals with developmental disabilities. RBT certification is preferred. Training and ongoing support will be provided by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
What You’ll Do:
- Provide 1:1 support to clients in their home and community settings
- Support the development of communication, social, vocational, and independent living skills
- Implement individualized skill-acquisition programs and assist with daily routines, household tasks, and leisure activities
- Implement individualized behavior intervention strategies and safety procedures as directed by the supervising BCBA
- Collect data and document client progress
- Work collaboratively as part of a supportive team committed to making a meaningful impact
- Provide transportation in personal vehicle to community activities (mileage reimbursement provided)
Requirements:
- At least one year of experience in an ABA setting
- Experience working with individuals with autism and developmental disabilities
- Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, clear driving record, and auto insurance with 100/300 limits or 300 CSL
- Ability to make a minimum 1-year commitment
- RBT certification preferred
Schedule & Pay:
- Part-time position: Three days per week (Saturdays required + 2 weekday shifts)
- Hours are approximately 9:00-4:30
- $35/hour
Employment is contingent upon completion of required pre-employment clearances, including a background check and TB clearance.
