Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their visit
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable
- Serve food and drinks efficiently, ensuring proper presentation and timely delivery
- Process sales transactions accurately, including cash handling and credit card payments
- Upsell menu items, including wines, spirits, cocktails, and specials to enhance guest experience and increase sales
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and adhering to food safety protocols
- Assist with food preparation when needed and support kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow
- Provide knowledgeable recommendations on wine, spirits, and menu options to elevate guest satisfaction
- Handle guest inquiries professionally, resolve issues promptly, and foster positive guest relations
- Support beverage service by preparing cocktails with precision and managing bar inventory as required
Experience
- Previous food service experience in a fast-paced restaurant or hospitality environment is highly preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable is a plus
- Experience in fine dining or upscale restaurants enhances your ability to deliver exceptional service
- Knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail mixing, and beverage service techniques is advantageous
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently while maintaining quality service
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude and professional demeanor
- Basic math skills for processing transactions accurately and managing cash handling responsibilities
- Food safety certification or knowledge of sanitation standards is preferred
- Experience with food preparation or kitchen support roles can be beneficial but not required
