Job Overview
We are seeking dependable and hardworking Agricultural Production Workers to join our agricultural team. This position focuses on harvesting, picking, packing, and loading fresh vegetables while maintaining quality and productivity standards. The role is physically demanding and requires employees to work efficiently in a fast-paced greenhouse environment.
Successful candidates will be comfortable performing repetitive manual labor, lifting up to 50 pounds throughout the day, and working both independently and as part of a team. Employees are expected to follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures while helping maintain a clean and organized production area.
This position may require relocation depending on job site needs. Relocation assistance is available, including support with housing and transportation for eligible employees.
We are currently seeking workers located in or willing to relocate to the following states: Ohio, New York, Kentucky, Maine, Georgia, Iowa, and Minnesota.
Responsibilities
- Harvest and pick vegetables according to company quality standards.
- Sort, inspect, and pack vegetables for shipment and distribution.
- Load and unload produce, supplies, and materials safely and efficiently.
- Lift and carry products weighing up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
- Stack, organize, and prepare packed products for storage or transportation.
- Operate forklifts or other material-handling equipment safely when authorized and trained.
- Maintain cleanliness throughout the greenhouse, packing, and loading areas.
- Remove damaged or defective produce and report quality concerns to supervisors.
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and company operating procedures at all times.
- Meet daily production and harvesting goals while maintaining accuracy and quality.
- Assist with inventory movement and other greenhouse production tasks as assigned.
- Work cooperatively with team members to ensure efficient daily operations.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in agriculture, greenhouse production, warehouse, packing, or general labor is preferred but not required.
- Ability to repeatedly lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
- Comfortable standing, bending, kneeling, reaching, and walking for extended periods.
- Ability to work in a warm, humid greenhouse environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality products.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions while working independently or on a team.
- Dependable with excellent attendance and a strong work ethic.
- Forklift experience or certification is preferred but not required.
- Willingness to learn new tasks and adapt to changing production needs.
- Must follow all workplace safety, sanitation, and food-handling procedures.
Work Environment
This position is performed primarily inside a greenhouse where temperatures and humidity levels may vary depending on the season. The work is physically demanding and involves repetitive movements, frequent lifting, prolonged standing, and continuous manual labor. Employees should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining productivity and quality standards.
Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
