Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced General Construction Manager to oversee day to day field operations for in-ground pool construction projects. The ideal candidate has hands-on knowledge of excavation, plumbing, concrete, electrical, and masonry phases, and thrives in a fast-paced construction environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Need to be able to learn and use our online CRM tracking system
- Oversee daily field operations for multiple active pool builds
- Manage site supervisors, equipment operators, plumbers, electricians, and masonry crews
- Create and maintain build schedules (excavation through final inspection)
- Coordinate material deliveries, equipment orders, and subcontractors
- Conduct quality-control inspections at key project milestones
- Communicate regularly with owners, office staff, homeowners, and vendors
- Approve job costing and change orders in coordination with project management
- Ensure compliance with safety, permitting, and local building codes
- Track crew performance and project progress through management software
- Support hiring, training, and crew development initiatives
Requirements
- 3+ years of construction management experience (Fiberglass, Liner and/or Gunite swimming pool preferred)
- Strong understanding of excavation, plumbing, and finishing work
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Comfortable managing multiple active job sites
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience with pool construction and/or outdoor living projects
- Knowledge of Hayward equipment, plumbing layouts, and Fiberglass, liner, and Gunite pool installation
- Familiarity with scheduling or project management tools (e.g., Premier Build, Buildertrend, or similar)
- OSHA safety certification or equivalent field safety training
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $54,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
