Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Construction Laborer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be an essential part of building and renovating structures, working alongside skilled tradespeople to ensure projects are completed efficiently and safely. Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation and cleanup of construction sites, shoveling, including loading and unloading materials using hand tools and power tools
- Perform heavy lifting tasks safely to move materials such as rebar, concrete forms, or framing components
- Support carpenters, masons, and other tradespeople with tasks like framing, drywall installation, stucco application, and trim carpentry
- Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, concrete pumps, or other machinery following safety protocols
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to assist in accurate project execution
- Install rebar for concrete reinforcement and assist with concrete finishing tasks including pouring, smoothing, and curing
- Support roofing, flooring installation, tile laying, masonry work, and restoration projects as needed
- Use hand tools and power tools effectively for tasks like caulking, plastering, metal stud framing, or masonry work
- Assist with site safety inspections and ensure compliance with safety standards on all construction activities
Experience
- Prior experience working on construction sites or in related trades is highly preferred
- Knowledge of mechanical systems and construction estimating processes is a plus
- Familiarity with blueprint reading and schematics is essential for supporting accurate project work
- Hands-on experience with concrete forming, finishing, or concrete pumping is advantageous
- Ability to operate heavy machinery such as forklifts or heavy equipment safely and efficiently
- Skills in carpentry disciplines including frame carpentry, trim carpentry, metal stud framing or roofing will set candidates apart
- Experience with masonry techniques like stucco application or bricklaying is desirable
- Demonstrated ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during renovation or restoration projects
