Locums Neonatology Physician in Lansing, Michigan - Block Scheduling, Level III NICU
Cover flexible 7- to 14-day blocks in a Level III NICU while caring for neonatal patients alongside an experienced team of Neonatal Nurse Practitioners and support staff.

Practice & Cases

Inpatient coverage in a 47-bed NICU and Special Care Nursery

Average daily census of 31 patients with approximately 3 admissions per day

High-risk deliveries, neonatal resuscitation, ventilation management, and neonatal procedures
-
Procedures include chest tubes, central and arterial lines, UVC, UAC, PA catheter insertion, and PICC placement
Schedule

Approximately 9 weeks of day coverage and 9 weeks of night coverage

Preferred 7- to 14-day coverage blocks

10-hour day shifts and 14-hour home call nights

Variable 1:4 home call rotation with a 30-minute response time
Requirements

Must be an MD or DO

Active Michigan medical license required

Board Certified or truly Board Eligible in Neonatology with Neonatology fellowship required

Current NRP Advanced Provider or Instructor status required
