Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that support early childhood education principles, including Montessori methods when applicable.
- Create a positive classroom atmosphere through effective classroom management and behavior management strategies.
- Engage children in educational activities that promote literacy, math skills, physical education, and social-emotional growth.
- Monitor and assess each child's development, providing tailored support for children with special needs or requiring early intervention.
- Maintain detailed lesson plans and progress reports to track individual learning milestones and communicate with parents about their child's welfare.
- Foster a safe environment by supervising children during indoor and outdoor activities, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Collaborate with colleagues to design inclusive lesson plans that accommodate diverse learning styles and developmental needs.
Experience
- Prior classroom experience working with young children in daycare, preschool, or private school settings is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of childhood development theories, classroom management techniques, and behavior management strategies.
- Experience in curriculum development, literacy education, and teaching physical education is advantageous.
- Familiarity with special education practices, early intervention programs, and standardized testing procedures enhances your effectiveness in this role.
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and team members are essential.
- Previous experience working with toddlers or in Montessori environments will be considered a plus.
