Janitorial Services – Job DescriptionPosition Overview
The Janitorial Services position is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, sanitary, and orderly environment throughout assigned facilities. The successful candidate will perform routine cleaning and sanitation duties, follow established safety procedures, and ensure that work areas meet company cleanliness standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize offices, restrooms, common areas, break rooms, and other assigned spaces.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and polish floors and surfaces.
- Empty trash and recycling containers and dispose of waste properly.
- Clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces, fixtures, sinks, toilets, and other restroom facilities.
- Replenish restroom and facility supplies as needed.
- Clean windows, glass surfaces, doors, and other areas as assigned.
- Operate cleaning equipment and use cleaning chemicals safely and appropriately.
- Identify and report maintenance issues, safety hazards, damaged equipment, or supply shortages.
- Maintain cleaning equipment and keep janitorial storage areas clean and organized.
- Follow all health, safety, sanitation, and company policies.
- Complete assigned cleaning tasks efficiently and within required schedules.
- Perform additional cleaning and facility-support duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Previous janitorial, custodial, housekeeping, or cleaning experience preferred but not required.
- Ability to work independently and follow written and verbal instructions.
- Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality when working in offices or other sensitive areas.
- Ability to safely lift, carry, push, and pull cleaning supplies and equipment.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and perform repetitive physical tasks for extended periods.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including some evenings, weekends are required, or holidays when required.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of basic cleaning and sanitation practices.
- Familiarity with commercial cleaning equipment and products.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong attention to cleanliness and detail.

Working Conditions
The position may require working indoors and outdoors and may involve exposure to cleaning chemicals, dust, noise, and varying temperatures. Proper personal protective equipment (PPE) must be used as required.

Pay: $18.00 - $19.50 per hour
