Job Title: Bid Manager / Project Manager
Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bid Manager / Project Manager to oversee construction project bids and manage projects from inception to completion. This role involves coordinating bid preparations, evaluating project requirements, and ensuring successful project execution within the residential construction sector. The ideal candidate will possess strong construction site experience, knowledge of building codes, and expertise in estimating and managing interior and exterior residential projects.
Duties
- Lead the preparation of construction bids by analyzing project plans, specifications, and site conditions.
- Measure and assess construction sites to gather accurate data for estimates.
- Develop comprehensive construction estimates, including labor, materials, and equipment costs.
- Create detailed materials lists for residential projects, both interior and exterior.
- Review construction plans and drawings to ensure accuracy and completeness for bidding purposes.
- Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to gather necessary information for proposals.
- Manage multiple bidding processes simultaneously while maintaining high accuracy and deadlines.
- Oversee the execution of construction projects, ensuring they adhere to plans, building codes, safety standards, and client expectations.
- Monitor project progress, budgets, and timelines throughout the construction phase.
- Ensure compliance with structural construction standards and local building regulations.
Skills
- Proven experience in construction estimating, sales, and project management within residential construction.
- Strong understanding of building codes and structural construction principles.
- Construction site experience with the ability to measure at job sites accurately.
- Excellent skills in reading and interpreting construction plans and drawings.
- Ability to develop detailed estimates and materials lists efficiently.
- Knowledge of interior and exterior residential project requirements.
- Effective communication skills for coordinating with various stakeholders.
- Organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in relevant software tools related to estimating and project management is a plus.
