Key Responsibilities
- Patient Check-In/Out: Greet patients warmly, collect new intake and medical history forms, and verify personal details.
- Appointment Management: Schedule, confirm, and reschedule appointments while managing the daily calendar.
- Insurance & Verification: Verify dental insurance eligibility, check benefit breakdowns (HMO/PPO), and assist with pre-authorizations.
- Financial Processing: Collect co-pays, process payments, post charges to accounts, and present basic payment options.
- Administrative Support: Answer multi-line phone systems, manage daily voicemails, and scan or file digital documents
Qualifications & Skills
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: Prior customer service, administrative, or front-desk experience in a healthcare or dental setting.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with computer data entry and dental practice management software (such as Dentrix or Open Dental).
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong verbal communication, professional empathy, and multitasking abilities under fast-paced conditions.
The front desk staff in a dental office manage patient communication, schedule appointments, handle billing and insurance, and maintain patient records. They serve as the main face of the practice, ensuring smooth daily operations between patients and the clinical team.
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
