The NexCom Laboratory (Laboratory for Next-Generation Computation) at the FAMU–FSU College of Engineering invites applications for a Postdoctoral Research Associate in Computational Surgery.
The NexCom Laboratory develops next-generation computational methods that integrate scientific computing, artificial intelligence, and emerging computational paradigms to solve challenging problems in engineering, medicine, and science. Our research spans computational mechanics, scientific computing, computer graphics, machine learning, computational modeling, and quantum computing, with an emphasis on developing transformative computational technologies with real-world impact.
Our research focuses on nonlinear computational solid mechanics, finite element methods, scientific machine learning, iterative and nonlinear solvers, multigrid methods, Krylov subspace methods, reduced-order modeling, multiscale modeling, and high-performance scientific computing. We are particularly interested in developing AI-enabled acceleration strategies that improve the convergence, efficiency, robustness, and scalability of numerical algorithms for large-scale nonlinear mechanics problems.
