Medrina is a physician-owned healthcare organization providing post-acute and long-term care services in Skilled Nursing Facilities nationwide. We are seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Internal Medicine Physician (MD/DO) to join our growing team in the Syracuse, NY area.
This opportunity is ideal for physicians interested in post-acute care, skilled nursing medicine, geriatric medicine, chronic disease management, and transitional care.
Position Highlights
- Full-time 1099 Independent Contractor
- Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) setting
- Private practice model with flexible scheduling
- Monday through Friday
- No nights, weekends, or calls
- Established patient volume
- Dedicated administrative support
- Income potential of $350,000+ annually
Responsibilities
- Manage adult and geriatric patients in SNF and post-acute care settings
- Conduct admissions, follow-up visits, and discharge evaluations
- Manage chronic and medically complex conditions, including diabetes, hypertension, COPD, heart failure, and dementia
- Collaborate with nursing staff, therapists, and facility leadership
- Complete EMR documentation and care plans
Qualifications
- MD or DO
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine
- An active New York medical license or the ability to obtain one
- Active DEA license or ability to obtain
- Experience in SNF, post-acute care, geriatrics, hospital medicine, or long-term care preferred
