Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated X-ray Technician or basic machine operator to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures, ensuring patient safety, and providing high-quality images for interpretation by physicians. This is a Weekend position. hours will be 9:00am-9:00pm Saturday and Sunday
Duties
- Perform X-ray examinations on patients as per physician orders while ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Utilize aseptic techniques to maintain a sterile environment during procedures.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to obtain relevant medical history and understand the patient's needs.
- Operate imaging equipment effectively and perform routine maintenance checks to ensure optimal functionality.
- Assist in the preparation of patients for imaging procedures, explaining the process and addressing any concerns they may have.
- Maintain accurate records of procedures performed and ensure proper documentation of medical terminology related to imaging results.
- Stay updated with advancements in diagnostic radiology and participate in continuing education opportunities.
- Adhere to emergency medicine protocols when necessary, ensuring quick response during critical situations.
Qualifications
- Certification as an X-ray Technician or Basic Machine Operator
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and diagnostic radiology principles.
- Experience with aseptic technique is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients and healthcare staff.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
