JOB SUMMARY
Set up and operate mechanical, hydraulic and CNC controlled press brakes with tooling.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Set up, run and maintain Mechanical, Hydraulic and CNC controlled press brakes. Performing operation to process. Determine parts to be run and set up. Retrieve, load, and unload specified materials and parts. Produce parts to drawing tolerances and adjust as needed. Ensure quality and conformance to specifications. Advise supervisor and QC of any quality issues. Able to interpret drawings and measure parts to drawings. Use safety devices as prescribed by the manufacturer or MEP. Perform specified preventive maintenance of equipment and tooling and assist in repairs as required. Responsible for ensuring the safe work habits of any associate that you assign to a job you or another set-up person has set up. Fill out all required paperwork and train others on the same. Responsible for detailing the quality inspection required by any associate you assign to a job that you or another set-up person has set up. Maintain 5S responsibilities of assigned work areas
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- One to two years related experience and/or training
- Equivalent combination of education and experience.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Requires ability to use English, grammar.
- Math such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division, including decimals and fractions.
- Simple use of formulas, charts, tables, drawings specifications, schedules, wiring diagrams together with the use of adjustable measuring instruments.
- Ability to understand and perform administrative duties of job.
- Requires the use of judgment to plan, perform and make decisions as to the sequence of setups, operations and processes within the limitations of recognized standard methods and procedures
- Moderate physical effort consisting of frequently lifting or moving average weight material not over 50 lbs.
WHAT WE OFFER
4-day workweek (Monday–Thursday) + OT (depending on operational need)
- - OT: Friday 5:30 AM to 2:00 PM (some Saturday OT)
- - OT: Friday 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM
