Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Kitchen Cleaner to join our dynamic culinary team. Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of kitchen surfaces, equipment, utensils, and appliances in accordance with food safety sanitizing procedures.
- Handle manual cleaning tasks including scrubbing, mopping, dusting, and waste disposal to maintain a spotless kitchen environment.
- Assist with dishwashing duties using commercial dishwashers or manual methods to ensure all cookware, dishes, and utensils are sanitized and ready for use.
- Support food handling activities by maintaining cleanliness during food preparation, ensuring compliance with food safety management standards.
- Help with bussing tables and clearing dining areas during service to support smooth restaurant operations.
- Participate in food safety training sessions to stay updated on best practices for sanitation and hygiene.
- Assist with light food preparation tasks as directed by kitchen staff or chefs, supporting overall kitchen operations including catering and banquet setups.
Skills
- Knowledge of food safety sanitizing procedures and proper cleaning techniques.
- Experience in restaurant or hospitality environments, with familiarity in food handling and kitchen operations.
- Strong manual handling skills to safely lift heavy cleaning equipment or supplies.
- Ability to operate dishwashing machines efficiently and perform thorough cleaning of kitchen tools.
- Excellent attention to detail to ensure all areas meet hygiene standards.
- Basic knife skills and understanding of food safety management principles are a plus.
- Ability to work quickly and effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
