Job Summary
Pacific Channel Transportation is seeking a reliable, skilled OTR CDL-A Driver in Salt Lake City. This person should expect to be gone 1-2 weeks at a time and will be hauling loads throughout the PNW (CO, UT, OR, WA, ID, MT, CA) in a brand new truck.
Duties and responsibilities
- Must be able to load and unload heavy items up to 70 lbs.
- Dry van trailers.
- MUST have minimum 2 years of CDL-A experience.
- MUST have experience driving in snow and over mountain passes.
- Doubles/Triples endorsement is preferred.
- Knowledge of DOT mountain pass regulations.
- Exceptional customer contact and driving skills.
- Drivers will be required to interact with customers, warehouse leaders and associates, and store leader and associates.
- Drivers will also be expected to systemically update orders via a handheld device.
- Any additional duties as assigned.
- Climb in and out of delivery cab to accommodate customer deliveries throughout the day.
Qualifications
- Requires intermittent periods during which continuous physical exertion is required, such as walking, standing, stooping and climbing.
- Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
- Valid, active Class A Driver's License.
- Must be 21 or older.
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record and Background.
- 2-years of CDL Class A Driving Experience.
- Must pass DOT physical, criminal check and drug screen.
- As a CDL Class A Driver, you must be a team player with excellent customer service skills and the commitment to succeed.
- Qualified candidates are self-motivated, responsible, highly organized, and able to multitask in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment all with a positive attitude.
Pay: $350.00 per day
