Medication Technician (Part-Time Evenings & Weekends)
Home Not Alone Caregiver Services, Inc. is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and detail-oriented Medication Technician / Direct Support Professional to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) in our residential group homes throughout the Pittsburgh area.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys helping others, takes pride in providing quality care, and wants to make a positive difference in the lives of individuals receiving residential services.
Pay Rate - $16.00 per hour
Paid training provided. Additional hours may be available based on agency needs.
Schedule
Part-Time – 24 Hours Per Week
Weekdays:
- Monday through Friday (10 hours total)
- 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM
Weekends:
- Saturday and Sunday
- Additional 14 hours total
Evening, weekend, and holiday availability is required.
Responsibilities
- Administer medications according to physician orders, company policies, and state regulations.
- Accurately document medication administration and related observations.
- Monitor individuals for changes in health status and report concerns to supervisors.
- Maintain medication carts, medication records, and storage areas.
- Assist with medication inventory and prescription refill coordination.
- Support individuals with daily living activities as needed.
- Promote the health, safety, dignity, and independence of individuals served.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, team members, and healthcare professionals.
- Travel between residential homes as needed.
Qualifications Preferred
- Medication Administration Certification (Med Admin)
- Experience working in residential care, group homes, home care, personal care homes, assisted living, or healthcare settings
- Experience supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD)
Required
- Valid driver's license
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to travel between residential homes
- Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
- Dependable attendance and punctuality
- Ability to pass all required background checks and clearances
- Ability to complete required training upon hire
