Training Program
New team members participate in a comprehensive three-week training program that includes:
- Week 1: Observation and shadowing at a Willis-Knighton facility
- Week 2: Classroom training covering insurance, hospital policies, procedures, and Patient Access operations
- Week 3: Hands-on training with an experienced preceptor
After successfully completing training and gaining experience in the role, employees have the opportunity to take the National Association of Healthcare Access Management (NAHAM) certification exam and become nationally certified as a Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA).
Position Responsibilities
As a Patient Access Representative, you will:
- Register patients accurately and efficiently
- Collect and verify demographic and insurance information
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and their families
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions
- Contribute to a positive patient experience from the moment they arrive
Qualifications
Applicants should:
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- Be comfortable working with computers and electronic systems
- Have strong typing and data entry skills
- Demonstrate excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Display a strong work ethic, professionalism, and a commitment to personal and organizational growth
