Responsibilities
- Safely transport prepared food from the kitchen to designated tables or service areas, adhering to safe lifting practices and manual handling procedures
- Support the kitchen team by handling food safely, including proper food handling and preparation techniques.
- Ensure all food running duties are performed efficiently to minimize wait times and enhance guest satisfaction.
- Maintain cleanliness of service areas, including cleaning dishes, utensils, and work surfaces regularly.
- Assist with basic food prep or replenishing supplies as needed to support smooth restaurant operations.
Skills
- Previous food service experience or restaurant background preferred; familiarity with kitchen operations is a plus.
- Strong communication skills to coordinate seamlessly with kitchen staff and front-of-house team.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
- Ability to lift heavy trays or boxes safely while practicing safe lifting practices.
- Experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for order accuracy.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic approach to guest interactions.
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Experience in bussing, cleaning, and general restaurant support roles is advantageous.
