Security On The Spot is a growing low-voltage and security systems company specializing in security cameras, networking, access control, and smart automation solutions. We work on residential, commercial, and jobsite installations and are looking for motivated individuals who want to learn and grow in the industry.
We are hiring a Helper / Apprentice to assist our lead technicians in the installation of security and low-voltage systems. This is an entry-level position with hands-on training and strong growth opportunities.
Job Responsibilities
- Assist with installation of security camera systems (IP cameras, NVRs)
- Help run and secure Cat5e/Cat6 cables (attics, walls, conduit)
- Carry ladders, tools, and materials
- Assist with mounting cameras, TVs, and equipment
- Maintain clean and organized job sites
- Follow instructions from lead technician
- Learn basic installation and troubleshooting skills
What We’re Looking For
- Must be proactive and able to take initiative without constant supervision
- Able to anticipate needs (bring tools, prep materials, assist without being asked)
- Strong work ethic and willingness to stay busy
- Good attitude and willingness to learn
- Not someone who waits to be told what to do every step
Requirements
- No experience required (we will train the right person)
- Must be reliable and punctual
- Comfortable working in attics, heat, and outdoor environments
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs
- Valid driver’s license preferred
Pay
- Starting pay: $15–$20 per hour (based on experience)
- Raises based on performance and growth
Schedule
- Monday to Friday
- Occasional weekends depending on project needs
Growth Opportunity
We are looking for someone long-term who wants to grow into a Technician or Lead Installer role.
Important
This is an entry-level helper position. Pay is hourly based on work performed and completion of assigned tasks.
We are specifically looking for someone proactive — not someone who needs constant direction.
