Job Summary
We are looking for a dependable and customer-focused Retail Store Associate to join our liquor store team. In this role, you will help create a friendly shopping experience for customers while keeping the store clean, stocked, and running efficiently. The ideal candidate is personable, reliable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced retail environment. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys customer service and wants to grow in retail.
Duties
- Greet customers and provide friendly, helpful service
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately, including cash and card transactions
- Stock shelves, coolers, and displays, and keep merchandise organized and appealing
- Assist customers with product questions and recommendations when needed
- Maintain store cleanliness, organization, and overall appearance
- Answer phone calls professionally and assist with customer questions
- Promote store specials, featured products, and add-on purchases
- Help monitor inventory levels and notify management when products need to be reordered
- Follow store policies and procedures, including ID checks and age-restricted sales compliance
Qualifications
- Previous retail, cashier, convenience store, grocery, or liquor store experience is preferred but not required
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Basic math skills and ability to handle cash accurately
- Familiarity with POS systems is a plus
- Reliable, hardworking, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Positive attitude and professional demeanor with customers and coworkers
- Bilingual skills are a plus, but not required
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift/store products as needed
