Overview
Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Medical Office Supervisor and lead the efficient operation of our medical practice. Responsibilities
- Supervise daily clinic operations, including patient scheduling, registration, and check-in/check-out procedures.
- Oversee medical administrative support functions such as medical records management, billing, coding, and insurance claims processing using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) and EHR (Electronic Health Records) eClinicalWorks,
- Manage fiscal responsibilities including budgeting, financial management, and resource allocation to ensure the practice remains financially healthy.
- Lead human resources activities such as staff scheduling, performance evaluations, training, and fostering a positive team environment.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and other healthcare standards requirements to protect patient privacy and maintain accreditation standards.
- Coordinate with clinical staff, including Medical Assistants and acute care teams, to optimize patient flow and care delivery.
- Implement practice management strategies to improve operational efficiency, including utilization management and managed care processes.
Requirements
- Proven experience in medical office management or healthcare administration within a clinical or hospital setting.
- Demonstrated supervising experience with strong leadership skills to motivate and guide staff effectively.
- Extensive knowledge of medical terminology, medical records management, and HIPAA compliance standards.
- Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, eClinicalWorks, Dentrix, Eaglesoft or similar platforms; experience with Medical Centers or Dental Clinic software is highly desirable.
- Strong fiscal management skills including budgeting, financial oversight, and resource planning.
- Background in nursing or acute care environments is advantageous for understanding clinical workflows.
- Excellent organizational skills combined with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently in a fast paced healthcare setting.
