KBW Financial Staffing is working with a client in
Somerville, MA looking for a
Collections Specialist to join their team. This position is
Temp (potential to go Temp to Perm), fully onsite and pays $25-$30/HR depending on experience.
The responsibilities for this role will include:
- Manage AR processes: collect outstanding balances, post payments/credits to the GL, and maintain accurate account records for analysis
- Perform credit reviews and analysis for new and existing customers/vendors while resolving discrepancies impacting collections
- Support month-end close, including AR reconciliations, schedules, and sales/AR tie-outs
- Ensure compliance and reporting: maintain sales tax data and exemptions and track credit/collection metrics
The experience required for this role:
- Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years of AR and collections experience
- Strong communication, phone presence, and negotiation skills
- Advanced Excel proficiency with heavy reporting and analytical capabilities
- Highly organized, adaptable, and able to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines both independently and in a team environment
Compensation: $25-30/HR
