Compensation: $90,000 - $125,000 base + bonus + full benefits

The Opportunity
We are seeking a Senior Project Engineer OR Assistant Project Manager to play a key role on ground-up commercial builds, supporting project execution from preconstruction through closeout. This individual will take ownership of critical project engineering functions while collaborating closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, and subcontractors.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage RFIs, submittals, and document control processes

Support ground-up commercial construction projects from start to finish

Assist in schedule development, cost tracking, and project forecasting

Coordinate with field teams, subcontractors, architects, and owners

Review and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts

Track procurement, manage material deliveries and buyout support

Help drive quality control and safety compliance efforts

Participate in OAC meetings and maintain strong stakeholder communication

Support change order management and project financial tracking
-
Assist with project closeout, punch lists, and turnover documentation
Qualifications
-
3+ years of commercial construction experience (5+ ideal for senior level)

Strong experience supporting ground-up construction projects
-
Proficiency handling RFIs, submittals, and project documentation

Working knowledge of construction drawings, specs, and workflows

Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, or similar platforms

Excellent organization, communication, and problem-solving skills

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Experience

Exposure to municipal/public sector projects (fire stations, county buildings, K-12, civic, infrastructure, etc.)

Experience working for a top-tier GC

Strong Tenure at previous employers is a MUST

Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field is preferred, but open to candidates without

Familiarity with Phoenix-area subcontractors and permitting processes

Demonstrated leadership potential and interest in career growth into PM
