Hailiang Copper Texas is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Supervisor to join our finance team. Reporting directly to the CFO, this role is responsible for overseeing daily accounting operations, leading manufacturing cost accounting functions, and supporting process optimization in an SAP environment. The ideal candidate is hands-on, analytical, and capable of contributing to strategic decision-making. Mandarin language proficiency is preferred but not required.
Support daily accounting operations, including general ledger and subsidiary ledger maintenance.
Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual closings and financial statement preparation, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Collaborate with the General Ledger Accountant to ensure proper reconciliations and reporting.
Lead manufacturing cost accounting efforts, including tracking and analyzing costs for materials, labor, and overhead.
Perform cost variance analysis and recommend measures for cost reduction and efficiency improvement.
Contribute to product pricing strategies and budgeting/forecasting processes to support business planning.
Assist in the deployment and use of SAP for accounting, cost allocation, and financial reporting.
Streamline and improve accounting processes to enhance data accuracy and operational efficiency.
Guide and support junior accounting staff, promoting standardized, professional accounting practices.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on financial processes and data.
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
3–5 years of accounting experience, including at least 2 years in manufacturing cost accounting.
Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting principles.
Experience with SAP; able to handle accounting and reporting tasks independently.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally.
Mandarin language skills preferred, but candidates with strong manufacturing cost accounting experience will be fully considered.
CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
