Overview
Supply Chain Associates, LLC. is seeking a highly organized and analytical Supply Chain Operations Specialist to support end-to-end supply chain activities, including procurement, logistics, transportation, inventory management, warehouse coordination, and operational planning. This role is responsible for optimizing daily supply chain processes, maintaining accurate operational records, analyzing performance metrics, and collaborating with suppliers, carriers, warehouses, and internal teams to ensure efficient and cost-effective operations. Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily supply chain operations, including procurement, transportation, inventory management, warehousing, and order fulfillment
- Monitor inbound and outbound shipments to ensure on-time delivery and accurate inventory movement
- Communicate with suppliers, freight carriers, third-party logistics (3PL) providers, warehouse personnel, and internal departments
- Prepare and maintain purchase orders, shipping documentation, inventory reports, freight invoices, and operational records
- Support demand planning, inventory forecasting, replenishment planning, and stock optimization initiatives
- Maintain accurate information within Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), and Transportation Management Systems (TMS)
- Analyze supply chain KPIs, transportation costs, inventory performance, and vendor metrics to identify process improvement opportunities
- Coordinate supplier performance reviews and assist with procurement and contract administration activities
- Resolve shipment discrepancies, inventory variances, freight claims, and operational issues while ensuring excellent customer service
- Ensure compliance with company policies, transportation regulations, quality standards, and supply chain best practices
Requirements
- Previous experience in supply chain management, logistics, procurement, transportation, warehouse operations, inventory control, or distribution preferred
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining exceptional attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple departments
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field preferred
- Experience with ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics 365, NetSuite, or similar enterprise software
- Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Transportation Management Systems (TMS), inventory control systems, and procurement software
- Experience using Power BI, Tableau, SQL, or advanced Microsoft Excel for reporting and operational analysis
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and continuous improvement methodologies
- APICS/ASCM certifications (CPIM, CSCP, or CLTD), Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, or PMP certification are considered strong advantages
