Overview
We are seeking a motivated Civil Construction Truck Driver to join our dynamic team. This role offers the opportunity to operate various types of trucks and equipment to support large-scale construction and infrastructure projects. Compensation
Annual wage: $115,000
Duties
- Operate a variety of trucks including tractor-trailers, side dumps, lowboys, dump trucks, flatbeds, to transport materials and equipment to and from job sites
- Load and unload construction materials with precision and care, ensuring safety standards are met
- Drive route across multiple locations while adhering to schedules and safety protocols
- Perform routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts to ensure optimal operation and safety compliance
- Assist with forklift operation when necessary for material handling on-site or at loading zones
- Maintain accurate logs of deliveries, routes, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance records
- Support project teams by transporting heavy equipment or materials as needed
- Report defects, accidents or violations in a timely manner
- Comply with truck driving rules and regulations as well as with company policies and procedure.
Requirements
- Valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL) required
- Proven experience driving commercial trucks such as tractor-trailers, side dumps, lowboys, dump trucks, or flatbeds in construction or similar environments
- Skilled in manual transmission operation with a strong understanding of truck handling and safety procedures
- 3 + years of proven experience in driving truck for a Civil Construction company
- Ability to load & unload freight efficiently while maintaining safety standards
- Familiarity with route driving logistics across urban or rural construction sites
- Experience with forklift operation is a plus for handling materials on-site
- Strong understanding of traffic laws, safety regulations, and best practices for professional truck driving
