Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring clear communication of menu options and specials
- Assist with food preparation, plating, and presentation to uphold high standards of quality and sanitation
- Upsell menu items and beverages to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Manage food safety protocols including proper handling, sanitation, and storage of ingredients and dishes
- Clear tables efficiently by bussing and resetting for new guests while maintaining cleanliness standards
- Collaborate with kitchen staff and host/hostess team to ensure seamless service flow during busy hours
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering responsibilities, while maintaining a friendly attitude
- Support guest relations by addressing questions or concerns promptly and professionally
- Maintain a clean, organized work environment adhering to all sanitation regulations
Experience
- Previous restaurant or food service experience preferred, especially within fast-casual or fine dining settings such as Chipotle or Cava
- Familiarity with POS systems like Square.
- Experience in culinary tasks, food prep, or kitchen operations is a plus
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tables and tasks efficiently during peak hours
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper sanitation procedures in the food industry
- Excellent customer service skills with an ability to upsell and build guest rapport
- Background in hospitality or guest services roles such as host/hostess or nightclub staff is advantageous
- Basic math skills for cashiering, cash handling, and order accuracy
