Job Title: Mentor - Second Shift
FLSA Exemption Status: Non-Exempt (Hourly)
Hours Per Week: Part-time or full-time if desired! Preferred consideration for “after-school” hours (3:00pm - 8:00pm).
Anticipated Start Date: Summer/Fall 2026
Reports to: Director of Supportive Services
Primary Function: Work 1-on-1 in-home and in the community with at-risk children and adults, as well as individuals with disabilities and exceptionalities.

- You have excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with other professionals, such as therapists, educators, and case managers, to ensure holistic support for your clients.
- You are reliable, responsible, and able to maintain appropriate boundaries while building trusting relationships with the individuals and families you serve.
- You are committed to ongoing self-reflection and professional development, seeking opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge in order to provide the highest quality mentorship and support.
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Work with clients to create an individual support plan with goals related, but not limited to, the following areas: increasing social outlets, improving social skills, establishing routines, improving behaviors, improving emotional regulation and coping skills, exploring community resources, improving resiliency, and learning essential independent living skills.
- Work with clients to navigate tough situations and life experiences.
- Take a collaborative approach via outings to better reinforce social skills and provide more opportunities for social and community engagement.
- Manage a caseload and strive to maintain target billable hours.
- Other duties as assigned.
Experience/Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Education, or Human Services.
- Graduate-level degree/certification preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years relevant experience.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Strong desire to learn.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Basic computer skills, including basic knowledge of Microsoft Office products and Google Workspace.
- Must be able and willing to transport clients within and throughout Ozaukee County.
Working conditions and Physical Efforts:
- Work is normally performed through a combination of remote work, on-site with clients, and in-office work
- Little physical effort required
Travel Requirements: Travel within Ozaukee County required.
