The Pool Attendant is responsible for providing exemplary service at the Ojai Valley Inn Pools. Duties include; host/welcoming guests and seating, clearing and resetting lounge chairs, cabanas, and tables, refreshing drinks, and responsible for setup and breakdown of all pool areas. The Pool Attendant is ideally positioned to enhance the guest experience and plays an essential role in the resort’s goal of exceeding high guest expectations. Remaining constantly aware of the pool environments, engaging with guests, anticipating their needs and taking initiative to improve their experience.

If the guest has a Cabana reservation, confirm the number of people in the party. Notify MOD and server. The PA will enquired about number of guest in the party, last name and room number to log information in guests’ book. Manager to ALWAYS greet Cabana.
Service will always be prompt and attentive, no plastic glass/cup empty more than 2 minutes before offer of refill; “table” kept neat and tidy. Service will not be interruptive, i.e. staff will not interrupt with questions or make excessively long descriptions or conversation
Staff will create a sense of recognition by using the guest’s name, when known, in a natural and discreet manner. PA will speak to guests in an attentive, natural and courteous manner, avoiding pretension
Staff will always appear clean, crisp, polished, and well fitted in the correct uniform with their name badge on at all times while they are on duty
