Overview
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Charge Nurse (RN) to join our Long-Term Acute Care Hospital (LTACH) team. The Charge Nurse is responsible for overseeing daily nursing operations, coordinating patient care, and supporting clinical staff in a high-acuity environment. This leadership role ensures the delivery of safe, high-quality patient care while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards.
Duties
- Provide leadership and supervision to nursing staff during assigned shift
- Coordinate patient care activities and ensure appropriate staffing assignments
- Serve as a clinical resource for complex patient care situations
- Monitor patient outcomes and ensure adherence to clinical standards and protocols
- Collaborate with physicians, case management, respiratory therapy, and interdisciplinary teams
- Assist with admissions, discharges, and patient flow
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record
- Promote a positive team environment and support staff development
- Address and escalate patient, family, or staff concerns as needed
- Maintain compliance with all hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
- Lead infection control initiatives, discharge planning, and patient education to promote recovery and well-being.
Experience
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Arkansas
- Minimum 3 years of nursing experience required
- Critical care, ICU, step-down, or LTACH experience strongly preferred
- Prior leadership or charge nurse experience preferred
- Current BLS and ACLS certification required
- Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills
Pay: $40.00 - $50.00 per hour
