DESCRIPTION:
Clinicians for New Growth Behavioral Health are responsible for providing ongoing support and expertise through comprehensive assessment, planning, implementation, and overall evaluation of individual client needs. Clinicians are experienced professionals responsible for cultivating strategic partnerships through the agency, clients, and community. This position develops relationships between administrative staff, employees, and clients to provide quality work ethics and growth within agency staff and clients. In addition, this position is an assistance to the Compliance Director, Program Director, Crisis Manager and overall support to New Growth Behavioral Health general operations and program areas. This position interfaces regularly with CEO and Executive Operational Director.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
· Prepares written diagnostic assessments initial bio psychosocial assessment for appropriate diagnosis, assessing clients from multiple representatives, including family functions, psychological/emotional, social, academic, medical, behavioral, substance abuse, skills/abilities, strengths, barriers to economic self-sufficiency, treatment history, and others and utilizing various assessments instruments.
· Diagnoses, assesses, and implements effective interventions for clients to increase overall life satisfaction.
· Provides on-going evaluation and assessment to determine appropriateness of treatment course and adjusts as necessary to diagnosis, treatment approach and goals.
· Prepares, develops, and implements service and treatment plans based on clinical assessment and in conjunction with client and/or family, incorporating input from clients, involved service providers and wraparound team members, and clearly identifying problem areas and needs, strategies and service objectives. Reviews and assist in the finalization of signing of 6-month ISP’s.
· Provides feedback and guidance to staff in relation to therapeutic value of ISP strategies and interventions and collaborate with staff concerning ISP creation.
· Write pre-authorizations (Service Request Authorizations/SRA) and extended stay authorizations (Continued Stay Requests) and submit these documents on or before the due date.
· Responsible for oversight, preparation and maintenance of all case documentation as required by agency, and Medicaid and Insurance provider standards including daily therapy notes, treatment plan documentation, bio psychosocial assessments.
· Completes and ensures required clinical documentation is completed in a timely manner; Prepares and maintains all required treatment records and reports.
· Maintains confidentiality of records relating to clients’ treatment.
· Maintains and submits all pertinent billing information in a timely fashion.
· Maintains personal time records on cases for billing purposes.
· Ensures compliance with regulations set by governing bodies and maintain standards of care according to NGBH policies and procedures.
· Provides mental health treatment to individuals receiving services (services may include Intensive In-Home, Mental Health Skill-Building, Outpatient Therapy through individual and family therapy, behavior management, care coordination, crisis intervention, psychoeducation, and skills training.
· Collaborates and coordinates with other involved service providers and professionals, such as attorneys, school personnel, social workers, probation counselors, referral source, and other treatment providers.
· Meet or exceed program productivity expectations on a regular and sustained basis.
· Supports quality assurance programming.
· Attend staff meetings and trainings as required (supervision is provided weekly and trainings are at least monthly.
· Provides direct supervisions to QMHP staff, provides clinical feedback as needed.

· Ability to acquire First Aid/CPR Certification and TOVA training
Must hold own professional malpractice insurance

· Knowledge of mental disorders, their symptoms, treatment, and social implications in relation to target population.

· Knowledge and experience with evidence-based practices, including trauma informed care framework. Knowledge and experience working with co-occurring populations (chronic health conditions, mental health, and substance use).

EDUCATIONS AND SPECIFICATIONS:
*Master’s Degree in a Counseling Related field (social work, psychology, counseling, or a related field from an accredited college or university).
* Valid licensure to provide mental/behavioral healthcare in the state of Virginia; Licenses include LCSW, LPC, LMFT or Licensed Psychologist.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
